Development of Hospital Disaster Management Plan
To develop comprehensive Hospital Disaster Management Plans for Government healthcare institutions across the state, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) collaborated with SHSRC-Kerala in a proposal drafting discussion.
Following consultations with the Director of SDMA, a draft proposal was prepared as a foundational step toward creating these plans. This proposal specifically focuses on strengthening hospital-level disaster preparedness and response.
Key components of the proposal include:
Capacity building of institutional members to formulate disaster management plans.
Structured training for teams involved in developing and implementing the plans.
Currently, the initial phase of reviewing and refining the draft proposal is underway. SHSRC-Kerala is conducting a thorough vetting of the document to ensure its readiness for implementation across the state's healthcare system.
